Home Buyer Surveys
A home buyer survey (RICS level 2 equivalent) is designed for clients who are seeking a professional opinion at an economic price and is less comprehensive than a building survey. It provides you with an assessment on the general condition of the main elements of the property. The inspection is not exhaustive, and no specific tests are undertaken of the service installations. However, a full visual inspection of all accessible areas is carried out to determine a general impression on the condition of the property.
This type of survey is only suitable for conventional properties that are in reasonable condition and haven’t been extensively altered or extended.
The survey report includes; a brief description of the construction and condition of the main property elements, highlights any issues and defects that are serious or need urgent attention, advice on on-going maintenance and suggested further investigations.
Following report issue, our service also includes a follow up telephone / video call as standard to discuss your survey and ensure you fully understand the contents of your report.
Buying a property is likely to be the most expensive purchase decision you ever make; why risk it by not having the property comprehensively checked and reported on by a Chartered Building Surveyor.
