Project Description

We were instructed by our client to undertake a Building Survey including a drone roof inspection of a property they intended to purchase.

Following the inspection part of the service, we contacted our client to inform them of several serious issues identified.

Our client had not anticipated any major issues and as such had not budgeted for the extent and likely costs of remedial works required.

We paused preparation of the report whilst our client gave it some thought, and shortly thereafter they decided not to proceed with the purchase.

We insisted that our client only paid us for the inspection part of the service and reduced the original agreed fee accordingly.

Thankfully, this is a rare occurrence in our experience.
